The property can accommodate up to 18 adults, as there are nine exquisite rooms that boast king-sized beds for couples. The homestead does not allow children under 12, so guests are guaranteed a romantic retreat when staying here. El Questro Homestead rooms also contain a variety of state-of-the-art facilities, including ipod docking stations, sound-systems, and air-conditioning. However, what truly make this a memorable stay are the jaw-dropping gardens and views available from the rooms.
Guests will adore the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding Kimberley. Of course, they don’t have to stay in their room to experience these. Stroll across the lusciously landscaped lawns to the cliffs of Chamberlain Gorge, where the relaxing swimming pool overlooks the stunning river below.
Visitors don’t have to stay at the homestead, as private tour rangers provide guests with plenty of itineraries. A cruise of the Chamberlain River, where an array of fauna and flora like crocodiles and rock wallabies can be spotted, is great for an afternoon leisure activity. The property is about 100kms from Kununurra. Take a four-wheel drive along the Great Northern Highway towards Wyndham for 60kms, then turn onto the rough and rustic Gibb River Road for another 50kms.
